Lakey Memorial started off as WHITE’S CHAPEL C.M.E. which was established in 1883 under the leadership of Rev. Moon, until 2009.  The Church went by       the name of White’s Chapel.  In 2009, we celebrated the   132nd Church Anniversary.

Moving Forward into the 21^st Century –

LAKEY MEMORIAL was established May 23, 2010, under the leadership of our Presiding Elder, Jane E. Thomas.  It was the birth through the merger of three churches and pastors:

 CROSSROADS …………………Rev. Anthony Evans

 ROCK ZION ……………………. Rev. Willie F. Green

 WHITE CHAPEL ………………Rev. Cindy E. Causey

We began worshiping together on Sunday, April 4, 2011, and this merger has proven to be a great start to “A New Beginning”.  We are ready to rise to the challenge of being a light for the community and in the world.

Bishop Kenneth Carter assigned Reverend Cindy E. Causey as the first pastor of Lakey Memorial at the 2010 Central Georgia Regional Annual Conference.  Rev. Cindy E. Causey served from 2010 to 2013

Rev Derrick Cook served from 2013 to 2018

Rev. Joseph Burney served from 2018 to 2022. 

Our current pastor is Rev. Alvin Moore.
